Members of Witham U3A meet on the second Wednesday of the month 2pm – 4pm at the Church Hall.

A variety of crafts are created, including sewing, papercrafts, felting, silk painting, collage and many more.

Members share their skills and interests with one another, and occasionally, a visiting expert comes to teach a particular technique.

It is a welcoming and friendly group with plenty of chatter over tea and biscuits.

We are a small friendly group of ladies (20+) who meet the first Wednesday of each month in the Church Hall.

Typically each month we invite a guest speaker.

For instance, last year we heard about ECHO (East Coast Homeless Outreach), Jacobs Well charity, Fraud and Crime Prevention to name just a few.
In addition we have an annual lunch, a fund raising event for our chosen charity (this year it is Shelter) and an annual outing.

New members are always welcome.

We meet from 11:00 to 12:00 on Wednesdays and play popular music at a basic standard with either acoustic or electric guitars.

New members are welcome at any level.

Members bring their own preferred mediums i.e. Watercolour, Pastels, Acrylics, Graphite, Coloured Pencils etc.

Members are more than willing to share their skills and experience, and we have a very experienced art tutor who will offer advice on request.

All are welcome from beginners to the experienced.

It is a very welcoming group who provide plenty of friendly chatter over tea & biscuits.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is ideally suited for people who want a Yoga practice which
supports the body with no need to get down to and up from the floor.
This class is a fun way to try something new and meet like-minded
people in the local community.

The Luncheon Club is held on the first Thursday of the month except January and May, it is for over 65’s.

You get a main course, desert and tea or coffee all for £5.

Men Aloud

All men are invited to come and enjoy meeting together.

The aim of the group is to chat and enjoy discussions about any topics of interest.

Religious discussions are not encouraged.

Our existing group comprises of men from different backgrounds, coming from various villages.

We hope to enjoy some fun and laughter while enjoying each other’s company.

A cup of tea or coffee will be provided. ☕

The group meet on the First and Third Tuesday of each month at 2pm.

Mothers’ Union is a global Christian movement working with people of all faiths and none to develop communities, strengthen families and advocate for change.  

We have regular speakers on a variety of subjects – anyone is welcome – you don’t have to be a member or a mother!

We support local women’s refuges, support maternity units across the diocese, knitting for premature babies, have links with care homes and dementia sufferers providing them with fiddle blankets and muffs. Our branch also provide comfort boxes for whose people in our community who are ill or bereaved. Members also go into Lincoln Bishop University on a regular basis providing snacks and a listening ear. In November we support the 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

The Diocese is also involved with The Clewer initiative which seeks to bring recognition and support by raising awareness of all aspects of modern slavery.

The Whist Club has been meeting in the Church Hall for more than 25 years and welcomes all players of whatever age and ability for an afternoon of friendly but competitive whist.

The Club meet every second and last Monday of every month at 2 pm, and the cost is £2 which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.

Transport can be provided for those of limited mobility.

Creative Courses for adults, in a welcoming space at Cherry Willingham offering time, space to relax and create:

  • ‘The Art of Calligraphy’
  • ‘Step into Drawing and Step into Painting’

All courses are perfectly suitable for beginners and intermediate learners. Ideal for those who are ready to learn through guided projects.

A couple of things common to all courses:

  • What do I need? Just be curious, patient and enthusiastic to learn!
  • Course fees include materials and resources during the sessions.
  • Pre-booking is required for all courses.
  • Dates and times vary, depending on the course.

Charity Coffee Mornings

These are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 – 11.30 am.

Everyone is welcome – enjoy coffee and homemade cakes, browse the book and home made card stalls and take part in the raffle.

Our charities change every six months – the current one being SightSavers.

Gentle Yoga with Anna is an adult class suitable for beginners and people with no previous yoga experience. It may be particularly suitable for people living with chronic pain or long-term health conditions who would like to explore movement, breathing and relaxation in a supportive environment.

A friendly, small-group 75-minute Gentle Yoga class designed to help you explore movement, breathing and relaxation at your own pace. No previous yoga experience is needed. The instructor is a physiotherapist by background, bringing an understanding of movement and adapting exercises to individual needs.
The class includes gentle physical practice, breathing exercises and relaxation, with an emphasis on feeling comfortable and confident rather than achieving perfect poses. A yoga mat is usually needed, along with blocks, although some equipment can be provided if you don’t have your own.

The sessions run mondays from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. £8 per session, or £56 for a block of 8 sessions.
